No. 9 Alberta iela is another sample of eclectic turn-of-the-century style, built in 1901 as an apartment house, designed by Konstantīns Pēkšēns↗. Pēkšēns was one of the originators of the Latvian architectural Art Nouveau movement and "author" of hundreds of Rīga's masonry and wooden buildings, including Nr. 12 Alberta iela.
